Cece is a Junior at Roosevelt, she plays both Flag Football and Girls Soccer. She is very involved in the RHS athletics program as she is also apart of the SALT(Student Athlete Leadership) Team! As of now she is in season for Girls Flag Football.
1. When did you being playing/ what inspired you to start playing flag football
“I started playing last year as a sophomore. I had always wanted to try flag football but there was never really an opportunity to, so when it came to Roosevelt I signed up.”
2. What is a pregame ritual that you never skip?
“Before every flag football game and any other sports game, I always listen to “Your Welcome” by Dwayne Johnson. “
3. What does it mean to be a captain?

“Being a captain for this team especially is very important to me, as it is a new sport to the city, and the school I feel responsible for helping it succeed as much as I can.”
4. What challenges have shaped you to where you are today?
“Having played sports for most of my life, I have had many injuries and time off in order to recover, because of that I have learned to be a lot more resilient and in tune with my body. “
5. What is your favorite memory of RHS athletics?
“My favorite memory is scoring a hattrick my freshmen year on varsity soccer.”
6. What’s next?
“For flag football I hope to play again next year and continue to help the program grow at RHS. For me, after graduation I plan to take a gap year and then go to a 4 year university.”

7. What has gone well this season?
“This season I think all players feel more comfortable with the team and confident in their skills along with growing as a player. “
8. What is something that being a student athlete has taught you?
“Being a student athlete can be difficult at times, especially during the season. However it has also taught me a lot about time management and learning to balance my well being with my education and social life.”
