Levi is a Junior at Roosevelt and has been heavily involved in the athletics program throught his time here. He participates in Soccer and Track, though he is currently in season for Track and Field.
1. When did you begin running/ what inspired you to start track?
“I began running track my freshman year. Both of my parents talked me into it and I figured it would be good conditioning for soccer! “
2. What is a pregame/pre meet ritual that you never skip?
“I wear the same pair of socks for every 400 I do. I usually put them on when I’m about to warm up. Another thing I like to bring to meets is chocolate milk.”

3. What challenges have shaped you to be the athlete you are today?
“I would say that the hardest thing I have faced is injuries. I’ve missed part of my previous two seasons due to hip and knee problems. I haven’t missed any meets yet this year, it would be awesome to be able to complete my first full season!”
4. What is your favorite memory of RHS athletics?
“Some of my favorite memories are from the long bus rides with the team. We occasionally stop to get food on our way back and everyone’s having a great time. It’s also how I’ve gotten to know the whole team better!”
5. What’s next?
“My goal for next year is to break 50 seconds in the 400. It would also be amazing to see the team keep growing and have people return for another season.”

6. What has gone well this season?
Our 4×400 team got first place at the True Team meet! It is the biggest meet of the season and we cut off five seconds of our last season best. It’s also been great to see everyone on the team get PBs.
Good Luck to Levi as he finishes out this 2026 track season! Come to the VELT to watch one of his meets or come by in the fall to a boys soccer game to watch him perform there!
